What will be the far-reaching consequences if InBev is successful in it’s merger with Anheuser-Busch?
For one thing, the ad-guys will have to come up with a new jingle. On the other hand, if the Belgians have any sense of humor at all, they’ll keep the singing frogs just to piss off their buddies to the south.
On a more serious note, what are the implications for Dallas?
For example, will the Adolphus Hotel, named for Adolphus Busch, have to be renamed The Sebastian? Kind of catchy, actually, but I personally prefer Adolphus.
What’s going to happen with “the old girl”, the historic Kirby Building, built by Busch and home of A. Harris department store for half a century?
And the most important question for Downtown tavern regulars – will Bud Light® start being priced like an import?
These are truly troubled times…
