Comment Policy

The comment policy here is pretty simple. First and foremost, the comments are solely the opinions of the commenter. Social Texture assumes no liability for them. Occasional profanity is tolerated and encouraged, really, as it serves as additional punctuation. If it gets too bad, the editors reserve the right to edit. The only real rule otherwise is that the comment must be relevant to the article it is directed to. Any ad hominem remarks will result in the whole comment being deleted. If you insist on being a dick or a cunt by making abusive remarks outside the context of the article, post a separate comment and you will avoid collateral damage to the remainder of your deathless prose. The decision as to whether or not you have satisfied this criteria rests solely with the editors.
